You too can be a silk painter
Do not sleep the night before you paint on silk, so excited. Never approach silk painting without an attitude. You will not get 100% perfection OR the Facebook likes you crave. Stress and a quick deadline are always lurking so work them into your style.
Do not make your bed, do the dishes or eat breakfast, lunch or dinner until you have made a mark on that white silk. When the pets cry for food and your mate keeps calling and texting asking “What’s for dinner?” you know you are on the right track for creative production. At this critical time you may want to unplug your phone and crank up the music. Very artsy thing to do.
When you silk paint, make yourself as unattractive as humanly possible. Sloppy, dye encrusted, oversized shirt, not buttoned correctly. If you must wear pants or shorts, be sure they need a new waistband, so they keep falling off your bottom. Wear a Tiara. Unless you are going to wear 6 layers of brightly colored eye make-up ¦don’t bother with make up at all.
About your hair? Ignore it. If you look neatly put together and you may not enjoy your silk painting. A visitor could pop in or your husband could come home. Everyone expects you to look both flustered and confused. Give the people what they want.
